Coffee Union, SMR
Sustainable shopping is in, so what better way to revamp your style, than heading down to Coffee Union on the 21st February for a Pre-Loved Clothes Fair! The aim of this event is to bring everyone together through a love of fashion, all while actively contributing to a more environmental way to shop. We will be inviting local organisations from the community for you to learn more about sustainability in the third sector and how you can play your part.
Prior to the event, you can donate your old clothes at the Students' Union Reception (SMR) or UWLSU's office at the Reading Campus. Whether you have 5 or 500 items that you want to get rid of, you are welcome to donate.
Details:
When: 10am - 3pm, Friday 21st February
Where: Coffee Union, Ealing Campus, Saint Mary's Road
How will it work:
Before the event: Anyone can donate items in the run-up to the event by heading to the SU Service Desk, and dropping off their items in the big bin provided. All donations should be dropped off at the SU Service Desk by Wednesday 19th February.
After the event: All remaining items of clothing following the event will be donated to the supporting charitable organisations.
General Health & Safety: We kindly request that donations are in a clean, satisfactory condition with no stains or major tearing/signs of wear.
On the day, items will be organised by sizing (small, medium, large, extra-large) for easier scavenging! We ask that attendees respect the ethos of the pre-loved clothes fair (no snatching, grabbing, or hoarding) and only take what you really want, it’s important that everyone participating gets to leave happy.
