LCM Acting (Performance) Presents Mr. Burns, a post-electric play by Anne Washburn & Michael Friedman
Strangers sitting around a campfire, trying to remember their favourite episode of The Simpsons, as civilisation falls around them. It turns out that the stories we carry are the things that bring us together when there’s nothing else we can count on.
And in the years and decades and centuries that follow, how do the myths we grew up on, the myth of Bart and Lisa and Marge and Homer, how do they shape the new world we build together?
In this revolutionary play about storytelling itself, we travel through hundreds of years and learn, maybe Bart Simpson was the hero we needed all along?
This amateur production of “Mr. Burns, a post-electric play” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd. www.concordtheatricals.co.uk
This production explores life after the fall of civilisation with a light touch and moments of humour. It contains very occasional mild strong language (comparable to post-9pm mainstream TV) and a brief appearance of a prop firearm with a single gunshot sound effect. There is no graphic content. Suitable for Year 9 and above (ages 13+).
Programme will be available before the performance HERE
